The London Fly Meeting is organized by the London Fly Club, which includes Drosophila labs from London and throughout South-East England , who meet once per month. So far the London Fly Club has organized three one-day scientific meetings in 2002, 2004 and 2006. These gatherings have been highly successful and featured an outstanding list of international speakers. The past meetings were very well attended (over 200 delegates) and attracted participants from a wide range of scientific disciplines from throughout the UK and Europe . Having secured sponsorship by the Genetics Society, The London Fly Club is able to continue these meetings on a biannual basis, alternating years with the European Drosophila Research Conference.
