Professor Anthony Dodi who held  the personal Anthony Nolan chair in Haemato-oncology and was Head of Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre at Nottingham Trent died suddenly last week, aged 54

Dr Shara Cohen, Founder and Managing Director of Euroscicon said “I first met Professor Anthony Dodi in the early 80’s when I started my PhD at The Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital.  My first impression, which stayed with me for over 20 years, was that he was a kind and gentle man who was always available for a chat and to assist anyone who needed his help.  Seven years ago I had the privilege of working alongside Tony as a senior scientist at the Anthony Nolan Research institute, where we shared a common interest in Immunology.  I was extremely shocked and saddened by Tony's untimely death, and I wish to extend my deepest sympathy (and that of everyone at Euroscicon who knew him) to his wife Pauline and family and to all at Nottingham Trent University and The Anthony Nolan Trust who worked with him”.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
