We are delighted to announce that our ‘Elispot Technology: The Latest Tricks’ meeting on Thursday October 15 2009 will be Chaired by Professor Paul Lehmann.

Professor Lehmann is a widely respected T cell immunologist who  introduced and patented image analysis for ELISPOT (United States Patent No 08/577,957) dedicating over 40 of his publications to the basics of ELISPOT, including  single cell resolution, per cell productivity, cognate vs. bystander cytokine, T cell avidity measurements,  determinant mapping etc. In 1998, he founded CTL to assist scientists in ELISPOT analysis. He is President and CEO of the company.  CTL offers GLP-compliant ELISPOT contract research, ELISPOT readers (visible light and UV), PBMC libraries and reference samples, as well as serum free test media.

The agenda for this meeting is under construction. If you have any queries or are interested in speaking at this event please contact meetingsproducer@euroscicon.com

The program will differ slightly from that of the previous meetings in that it contains four clearly distinct, focused sessions:

·         Session A covers different applications of ELISPOT that are unique to the technique - each are of general interest because they  can be applied to all fields of study in which ELISPOT is used.  This session aims to be the scientific highlight.  Each talks will be brief (15 minutes each) - to cover quite some terrain.

·         Session B is dedicated to ELISPOT standardization, harmonization and validation.  There are three major multicenter programs ongoing and here we will get briefings on the progress each has made.

·         Sessions C and D are assigned to the ELISPOT reagent and instrument manufacturers so they can share new developments front.  Each manufacturer will have only 10 minutes to present.

·         Session E is dedicated to questions and answer. Participants will be asked to submit questions before the meeting and also to ask questions ad hoc – these questions will be discussed.

This meeting has CPD approval
