A recent Policy Highlight Notice from the MRC states that ‘In the light of the recommendations of the Royal Society and Royal Academy of Engineering report on nanotechnologies and the subsequent UK Government reports the Molecular and Cellular Medicine Board wishes to encourage innovative, high quality research applications in nanotoxicology relevant to human health, for funding, with the aim to help inform policy development in this important area.’ EuroSciCon’s ‘Nanotoxicology: Health & Environmental Impacts’ meeting on Friday, February 27, 2009 aims to address the timely issue of the nanoparticle safety and will feature talks from high profile scientific researchers.
