A recent Policy Highlight Notice from the MRC states that ‘In the light of the recommendations of the Royal Society and Royal Academy of Engineering report on nanotechnologies and the subsequent UK Government reports the Molecular and Cellular Medicine Board wishes to encourage innovative, high quality research applications in nanotoxicology relevant to human health, for funding, with the aim to help inform policy development in this important area.’ EuroSciCon’s ‘Nanotoxicology: Health & Environmental Impacts’ meeting on Friday, February 27, 2009 aims to address the issue of the nanoparticle safety and will feature talks from high profile scientific researchers. more »

Accuri Cytometers (Europe) Ltd. is previewing the Accuri C6 Flow Cytometer System at EuroSciCon's “Recent Advances in Flow Cytometric Techniques and Instrumentation” meeting on November 14th. This is the only time the system will be generally exhibited prior to the official European commercial launch in January 2009. NanoImpactNet - the European Network on the Health and Environmental Impact of Nanomaterials - is a four-year European Commission sponsored, FP7 coordination project.
