Detailing the use of immunohistochemistry in research concentrating on the use of GMA resin embedded tissues. Participants will gain practical experience in the main topics detailed below.

· tissue sampling

· tissue processing and embedding

· section preparation

· immunohistochemistry

· interpretation and analysis of results

 

Lecture topics:

· electron microscopy

· confocal microscopy

· in situ hybridisation

· FACS

· PCR

· seminars of current research
